HSE Advisor

Purpose:

Day-to-day implementation of safety strategy, policies, procedures, and programs to ensure workplace safety and health. Develop and assist in leading safety communications that follows regulatory practices/rules, recognizes and reports hazards, initiates and promotes a World Class safety culture.

Job Roles:

Essential:

• Shop floor engagement with supervisors and technicians
• Facilitating Risk Assessments, Hazard Identification and JSEA’s
• Assist with the developing and review of energy isolation procedures
• Assist in advising employees on the requirements for the effective use of safety plans, procedures and guidelines
• Maintain the injury and incident records, reports, investigations, and statistical data, i.e. entering data into Intelex , performing TapRooT investigations, trending and reporting statistical data
• Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventative measures.
• Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
• Inspect and audit facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation and management system compliance.
• Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
• Maintain local legal register, interface with local regulatory agencies as needed.
